TJ Wies Presented with AWCI Excellence Awards

At the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI) Convention held April 4-7 in Grapevine, Texas, TJ Wies Contracting received Excellence Awards in both Safety and Quality categories.

 AWCI's Excellence in Construction Safety Award gives national recognition to members who manage an effective safety program in a given year. AWCI’s Safety Directors’ Committee selected TJ Wies as the recipient of AWCI’s 2022 Excellence in Construction Safety Award in the 500,000-1 Million Annual Hours Worked category. This is the fourth AWCI Safety Award for TJ Wies, also receiving the award for an impressive safety program in years 2019, 2016, and 2015.  

 AWCI's Excellence in Construction Quality Award recognizes excellence in construction quality in the face of complicated and challenging projects. Based on feedback from members, AWCI established the Excellence in Prefabricated Construction Quality Awards this year, including four individual prefabrication classifications, to recognize exceptional projects with extensive use of prefabrication methods. AWCI’s Industry Awards Committee selected TJ Wies Contracting’s SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital Bathroom POD project for AWCI’s 2022 Excellence in Construction Award in the Interior Prefabrication category.

 AWCI represents 2,400 companies and organizations in the acoustics systems, ceiling systems, drywall systems, exterior insulation and finish systems, fireproofing, insulation, prefabrication/panelization and stucco industries. Its members are contractors, suppliers and manufacturers and those in allied trades.
